Documentation – 1
Arakan Oil Watch places a top priority on documenting oil and gas project activity and their impact on community livelihoods, environmental destruction and human right violations in project-affected areas. The critical information collected is used to create timely reports and videos that show the impacts of the projects, as well as generate discussion of appropriate actions to take in response.
Additionally, documentation provides the information necessary to form community trainings and workshops. The facts, photos, and videos gathered by AOW’s experienced documentation team are used to educate and activate local community leaders and activists in the struggle for human, environmental, and community rights in project-affected areas, as well as used for international advocacy.
